Interest rates are up. Real estate prices are stagnant in some areas and down in others. The sales market is slow. This presents challenges for some borrowers who are unable to meet their mortgages obligations. It presents difficulties for some lenders (including lender-brokers) in finding ways to be paid the debt owed to them by defaulting borrowers. It presents opportunities for mortgage brokers to provide valuable assistance to existing borrowers in distress and to those who purchase properties under foreclosure.
Our speaker, Lindsay Goldberg of Fulton and Company, is well equipped to assist you in obtaining valuable information. He is a leading foreclosure lawyer and, using his over 30 years experience, manages default portfolios for some of Canada’s largest financial institutions. He chairs the Continuing Legal Education annual foreclosure sessions presented to BC lawyers and himself presents some of the sessions.
Our moderator, Hali Noble, is the Senior Vice-President of Fisgard Asset Management Corporation (one of Canada’s largest mortgage investment corporation managers). Lindsay Goldberg
Lindsay Goldberg has over 35 years experience as a lawyer in retail mortgage enforcement (foreclosure) law. As a young lawyer, he focused on foreclosure law in a very busy law firm. He now heads Fulton & Company’s Vancouver office.
Lindsay represents some of Canada’s largest institutional lenders and assists them with managing their retail mortgage default portfolios. He offers streamlined and simplified debt recovery administrative services; his reputation for reliable debtor reintegration, efficiency, and sound business judgment makes him a popular choice for financial institutions looking to reduce collection risk and expense.
Importantly, Lindsay has a history of being generous with sharing his knowledge and time at all levels, including as the co-chair of the foreclosure practice course provided for lawyers.

Hali Noble
Hali Noble is a founding Director and currently is a Senior Vice-President of Fisgard Asset Management Corporation, a well-known Canadian Mortgage Investment Corporation (MIC). She manages Fisgard’s mortgage broker and lender relationships, communication, and business advancement departments.
Hali has spent her career as an alternative/private mortgage lender and is a Past President of CMBA-BC. She has won several industry recognitions including being inducted into the Canadian Mortgage Hall of Fame, receiving CMBA-BC’s Pioneer Award for Lifetime Achievement, and being named one of WXN Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in the category of Trailblazers and Trendsetters. She is a co-founder of Women In the Mortgage Industry (WIMI).
