PRESENTATION ON REFERRALS

The mortgage industry regulator has recently increased its scrutiny of problematic deals involving co-brokering and referral sources. Given the attention that regulators, the media and consumers are paying to this topic, it is important for Mortgage Brokers to review their practices and ensure that they’re complying with industry best practices. 

Samantha Gale, CEO of CMBA-BC, will deliver an overview of the obligations and responsibilities that registered Mortgage Brokers in BC must adhere to when working with referral partners, including other BC brokers, non-registered professionals (realtors, financial planners, lawyers, etc), and out-of-province brokers.
