VANCOUVER (June 24, 2026) The Canadian Mortgage Brokers Association-British Columbia (CMBA-BC) is pleased to announce that Tricia McIntosh has been elected President of the Association, following the organization’s Annual General Meeting and Board officer elections.
McIntosh is a mortgage broker and co-founder of The Mortgage House, an independent brokerage. Licensed since 2010, she has mentored a team of brokers since 2020 and brings particular expertise in relocation files for RCMP members and other first responders. A board member for years, McIntosh has been a consistent advocate for British Columbians who want to own a home, representing CMBA-BC at multiple Advocacy Days at the BC Legislature in Victoria.
Earlier this year, McIntosh joined fellow CMBA-BC representatives at the association’s annual Advocacy Day at the BC Legislature, where they met with elected officials to discuss solutions to improve housing affordability and access to homeownership. Discussions focused on key priorities, including reforming the Property Transfer Tax, the implementation of the Mortgage Services Act, and ensuring mortgage brokers continue to have a voice in shaping housing policy.
McIntosh has been actively involved in working with elected officials to advance housing and mortgage policies for British Columbians. She has helped bring forward the perspectives of mortgage brokers on issues affecting homebuyers, including improving access to homeownership and reducing unnecessary barriers in the homebuying process.
Her advocacy work has focused on helping more British Columbians access housing and achieve homeownership by addressing barriers in the homebuying process. As President, McIntosh looks forward to building on this work by continuing to engage with government and industry partners to support policies that improve housing affordability and help more British Columbians achieve homeownership.
CMBA-BC also recognizes outgoing President Rebecca Casey for her continued contributions to the Association, as she remains on the Board and continues to support CMBA-BC as a spokesperson alongside McIntosh.
CMBA-BC looks forward to McIntosh’s leadership as the Association continues to advocate for mortgage brokers and advance housing affordability priorities across British Columbia.
