Thriving Through Uncertainty

Mortgage professionals operate in a high-stakes environment — tight timelines, complex client emotions, changing regulation, and a market that can turn quickly. Sustained health and performance in this space requires a system that protects energy, elevates health and sparks hope.

This is an incubator-style, interactive workshop designed to help CMBA-BC leaders build real strategy in real time. Led by behaviourist Dr. Robyne Hanley-Dafoe and physiologist Dr. Greg Wells, the session blends the science of behaviour change, resilience, thriving, and human energy with practical tools that make implementation easier.

Participants will identify what to add (high-impact habits, team practices, and leadership behaviours) and what to subtract (friction, outdated assumptions, low-value effort, and energy drains) to elevate performance while reducing burnout risk. The session introduces a set of Anchor Points—practical, repeatable fundamentals that make sustainable high performance possible in demanding professional environments.

In this incubator, you and your team will build:

  • A clear picture of your current health and performance reality — and what that means for service, trust, and execution.
  • A Return-on-Energy framework to prioritize the few moves that create the biggest impact.
  • An Add/Subtract Audit to identify what to start, stop, and simplify — so change is realistic and achievable.
  • A “Now What” action plan: two to three specific experiments to run immediately, with clear success measures.

This is a working session designed to leave professionals with a clear, practical next steps, so the strategy doesn’t just sound good in the session: it shows up in calendars, workflows, and daily practices.

Dr. Greg & Dr. Robyne in Conversation

People are navigating stress, setbacks, and uncertainty by trying to control everything and doing it alone, which amplifies anxiety and drains performance.

In this episode of The Dr. Greg Wells Podcast, Dr. Robyne Hanley-Dafoe explores why hope is not the same thing as optimism, and why clinging to outcomes can backfire when life gets hard. She and Dr. Wells unpack “agency thinking” as the antidote to control spirals, then translate that mindset into practical micro-steps: get safe, get resourced, and choose the next right move.

You will discover that hope is a skill you can practice to keep moving forward without needing perfect certainty or a guaranteed outcome.

This episode helps you break out of the loop of “I must fix this right now” and move toward a more proactive approach that is achievable and sustainable.
